I like the move, but it will suck for him if Michelin catches up next season. I doubt it though.

The tire rule was expanded to included more tires per weekend. We'll see.

+1 in theory... I agree that MOTOGP should have no restrictions (except for engine size for class) on equipment. However, having it that way (no restrictions) only keeps about 4-5 bikes competitive, so it discourages more teams/ manufacturers from competing.

Michelin domination =

It's nice to see the underdogs who have better tech come out on top.

This year was a double whammy. Ducati handed it to the big factories and so did Bridgestone.

To me, that is what GP is all about. The technology, not money. So if they can put some rules in place that let some manufactures show off their superior tech, by all means, do it!

Michelin has some learning to do. The money they saved this season by not shipping in saturday night specials would be well spent this on some R&D this winter.

i'm not that educated about the tire history in motogp but the last two years rossi has been on michelin's he's had trouble, and the way duc&stones gave a great edge to stoner that held all year long.

Michelin has been at it in 500Gp and MotoGp for 30 years, Bridgestone raced it's first MotoGP race 5 years ago. just FYI

I think your right, I can't remember, but either way Michelin has been in the thick of it for quite some time.

Yeah, I think 1993 - 2006 were all michelin.

I did a bit of searching. '91 and '92 Rainey won on Dunlops. Still not sure about '90

Michelin started it's domination in '82 I believe... but to have Bridgestone step up like they have sure is something else.
