'08 Bikes - IMS Show

What are your favorite bikes for '08? I went to the IMS show Saturday and looked at and sat on a lot of bikes. I really liked the new Busa. Has anyone ridden one yet? I also liked the new ZX-10R and the Duc 1098S. I did not care too much for the looks of the new CBR 1000 or Buell 1125R.

I sat on the Yamaha Raider, but did not like it too much. I still prefer the Suzuki M109R for cruisers.

The KTM quads looked sweet. They should run well with that 525 engine.

Let cha know today how I feel about the busa....

I still can't stand the chrysler 'inspired' rear end... I throw up a bit when I think about it; but maybe in person it will make me a believer.

Tim knows of someone who wrecked a new busa......

Morning all, I like the fact that it is supposed to put out like 22 hp more stock, but I have my doubts, No one liked the look of the original when it first came out, but grew on us later, I wasnt sure about the new look either, but I think it will be ok, that huge exaust would haveta go tho

Surprisingly enough I liked (looks wise) the new R6, the GSXR750, Ninja250r, the 1098, the ducati hypermotard, and pretty much all the MV Augustas and Aprilia's

I've got an '08 Busa and an '02. It remains to be seen how much additional HP. I'll have mine dyno'd as soon as I get it broken in (I have about 450 miles on it now). It definitely has more at the bottom. Wheelies a lot easier and 6th gear pulls like 5th on the '02. Two things seem to stand out though. They finally got rid of the low rpm jerkiness of the FI and it turns in much easier.
The pipes are bigger in person than they are in pictures.

2005 Suzuki Gsxr 750 Anniversary

To me the out of my price range bikes always look good (Augustas, Ducs, Aprillias). Yamaha's R1, R6 looked the same, Suzuki's had a sharp point at the end of the tail area "like a r6"but still looked pretty much the same. Busa's looked good. Kawasaki looked the same except the Ninja 250 look really nice for a small bike. And for you Honda guys....the CBR 1000 looked like a and the 600 still looks very nice. Buell had some interesting bikes. Casey Stoner's GP bike was there and so was Roger Hayden's AMA bike.

The only thing that looked cool in 2008 is the new ninja250, the zx-10r looked stupid the 1000RR looked stupid the GSXR looked stupid and the busa with the dumb new exhaust looked stupid :(

guess i'll upgrade in 2009

When judging a bike I don't take into account the exhaust because that would be one of the first upgrades.

the bare bones "rat" bike with the copper oil lines and brass knuckles kickstarter was the coolest bike at the show(IMO of course)

I absolutely feel in love with the Honda ST1300. I am thinking about picking one up and driving it everyday to work. All it needed was a truck.
Does anybody have any experiance with this bike?

The only other two that I thought were cool were the B-King (180Hp, stupid) and the SV650 with the small fairing.
