Re: GPR or Scotts???

I think they're both great dampers. If you buy it new, you'll probably find a GPR cheaper. I personally like the Scotts. It's a little smaller and therefore isn't quite as much of an eye sore. I think you would be happy w/ either. The Scotts only comes in gold, but the GPR is available in different colors. Just my $.02.

If I hadn't gotten my scott's off of ebay at such a good price, I would of bought a GPR.

Re: GPR or Scotts???

Actually some Scotts have "Ohlins" stamped on the front of them. Ohlins builds them for Scotts.

Re: GPR or Scotts???

Actually Ohlins bought an interest in Scotts company, the offroad versions have Ohlins on them but the street ones say Scotts.
Both GPR and the Scotts work well; we've used the GPR on Ronnie's 636 and the Scotts on Brandon's SV's and both have worked just as well.

Re: GPR or Scotts???

There the same thing the only reason I bought mine is becuase its if i get another bike and can just reuse the scott and buy another mounting kit which is about $50 but im sure now gpr prolly allows you to buy the extra mounting kit too. Oh and yeah its a little smaller than the gpr
