welcome and in most peoples opinion, the best mod is to learn how to ride it right first. that exhaust in gonna do 0 for you other than make noise.

But, of course everyone wants their ride to sound nice.

IMO, those bikes are obnoxiously loud for some reason.

frame sliders and swingarm spools so if and when you lay it down there might be less damage to the bike. If you are looking to spend some money in a hurry, do what the others said and take some classes on how to be a better/safer rider.

good luck

btw, you have any pics of the bike? I used to have one

Good bike, I have an '07 I'm riding for a bit.

My opinions on mods?

Get your suspension set up.

Put some decent brake pads in the front, I recommend the EBC GFA pads.

Frame sliders.

Put a -1 countershaft sprocket on it.

If you want a bit more sound / save a little weight / pick up a bit of hp, install a slip on on it.
I've got a barely used (315 miles) Micron slip on for sale, $325.00 if you're interested.

Add a steering damper.

I keep most of the above parts in stock, don't forget to ask for your MH discount!
