Boot questions

Hi I'm new to riding and just bought a turbo bussa because it was so much more comfortable and I was wondering....

I've been checking out getting some "real" riding boots lately. I wear a lightweight combat boot now that has good protection but since I'd like to get to the track eventually, I'm trying to get all my gear together. So my question/problem; tried on some boots at Cycle gear and none of them have any arch support?? Whats the deal? It feels like your walking on a worn out flip flop or something :eh: Is this typical and are there boots that have a little substance and support under the foot?

Re: Boot questions

Are you trying to get onto a road track? Or a 1/8 or 1/4 mile track?

I would not take a turbo bike to a road track. Flirting w/ disaster on that...

As far as boots go. I have Alpinestars and Sidi. The Sidis are way more comfortable than the A-stars. Both are great for protection. But, the Sidis are way more comfortable to walk around in.

I would keep an eye on eBay for new old stock. With the end of summer, many online stores will probably be clearing out 05 models to make room for 06's.

This is a great site for boots: http://www.newenough.com/index2.htm Check out their closeouts and boots section...

Re: Boot questions

I know of several places to buy em....but does anyone have feedback on the support as far as the sole goes? If this is the norm then I guess I'll throw some Dr. Scholls insersts in em and just have to get used to it :eh:

Re: Boot questions

If you have a high arch than Sidi si the way to go. BTW I'm usually the same price as new enough and you don't pay shipping.
