Chances of flying on a companion pass or buddy pass is going to be slim to none unless it's a positive space ticket (ie. manager).

I have spoken to Continental yesterday and today and got my 7pm flight moved to 12:45pm but thats the best they could do. They acted as if afternoon flights will be sketchy about leaving, but morning flights should be good. I plan to be there at 5am trying to get onto any flight before my booked one and if not then just booze it up in the Pres. Club and wait to watch the rain until my flight leaves or gets canceled.

Why is that? They had a rough first year but it's been easy since... except the one hot year. But that was unusal. Friggin' perfect this year.

All flights from Hobby and IAH will stop at 2pm, at the current forecast. I'd bet they close by noon. Good luck to all, looks like the forecast for raceday is rain too. GO NICKY!!

Sitting at the airport now and I'd say the same. Any flight into the afternoon looks to be canceled just about. This has to be the only time I have seen the departures boards only halfway full.

I'd rather see some dry racing over the weekend, but it looks like Ike is chasing everyone up to Indy along with the front moving through.

Good luck to everyone near the water and sitting out the storm and Buck for you and the business on top of everything else. See you all at the track sometime soon I hope.

Got here yesterday morning and went straight to the track. Got some pretty decent pics but my connection here isn't that fast. Glad I took an early flight no problems at all.
