Need to brag about a friends good deal...

A buddy of mine here in Austin just picked this up. I know some people here will appreciate this deal...

99 Yamaha R6
Ohlins rear
GMD Computrak worked front forks
race body work
steel brake lines
steering damper
aftermarket rearsets
aftermarket clip-ons
eaftermarket exhaust
rear subframe swapped out from new-gen R1
front and rear stands
Pirelli Corsas w/ 1 trackday on them

He got the whole package for $1800 plus $400 to ship it from Massachusetts.

Not bad for $2200 eh?

That pic was taken after he washed it in his driveway and of course after he picked it up from the shipper (Allied Van Lines - I think). Bike is in my friend's posession. The guy (seller) also threw in a bunch of extras.

It was a back-up bike for some guys who endurance raced a Duc 999.

It was told to my buddy that it has a stock motor w/ about 7K street miles...

I saw the eBay acution it was originally for sale on and I think the biggest reason it didn't sell is the pictures on the auction weren't that great. There's lots of sellers out there that underestimate the value of good pics of a cleaned-up bike...
