Question Redlined Doing 186 MPH on Stands?

Which one of you guys is this? Is it okay to do that to a bike your trying to sell? Just a question

http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/458064889.html

PS- I know it's someone on here because of the motohouston.com sticker near the light

Sometimes it's better not know your engine speed

to not distract you...especially if you're at the track. I don't do it (I just don't ever look down), but some guys keep tape over both the speedo and tach.

taping over part of the tach is an old racers trick to know if they're in the right gear or not in a split second. as long as they can see the tach needle, they know they're good. if the needle disappears, they need to downshift.
