GEt suit tailored or trade for smaller size?

So i bought a used suit from scorpio. It's a size 46. When i bought it i was thinkin that i would return to my normal weight (225) so i bought it knowin it was to big. Well ive slimmed down over the last 6 months and i dont think i want to go above 190ish anymore, so basically, this suit is much to big for me. I think i probably need a 42 or something. I have worked with leather for years, sewing, tooling, all that sort of stuff so i know how to stitch leather pretty well. It would probably take at least 12 hours of hand stitchin to get this suit to fit me right. Is it worth the effort or should i just trade someone for a smaller size, assuming i can find someone who is willin to trade. Or i could just sell on ebay and wait for patrick to have some used ones for sale.......

what you guys think?

Im kinda worried about my stitching being "inferior: to the real stitching and failing in a crash. I would also be willin to have it tailored by someone else but i think i would probably come out better in the end just trading/sellin this suit
