the visit to the doc is a big story

but the short version
waited 4 and 1/2 hour just to see the doc for 8 mins

gotta go back in 4 weeks for xrays

just sitting waiting for the appointment made my back worse

I'm so sorry about that visit. I know them well... we used to wait for hours for Syvan to see the ortho and we'd go to x ray, he would come in and tell what the x ray showed and send us away... Oh, and let's not forget the request for cold hard cash. Bastards.

Her reconstructive surgeon was fabulous, though. We didn't spend much time with him, but he was precise and to the point and we never waited more than 15 minutes. They should all be like him. I would recommend, but I think he only does emergency reattachments.

Hopefully in four more weeks the pain will have subsided some and you'll get permission to move around. Will you have to have any surgery?

well- x rays suck. If you still don't feel right, you should go sooner. If you think the meds are not strong enough- like you can't get comfortable or just too much pain, you should call and ask for something stronger. The Doc's don't know everything- they're just practicing. There's no way to know how the bone's going to heal. We still have to have x rays every six months. It'll be years until they're sure it's healing right...
