As much as I hate them, I heard ExImport could get the Huskys?

I've called these places about the '08 450, too. Austin store does not seem to willing to let the bikes go for cheap, they want sticker + TT&L + FP... GHEY!

you are correct.

but, no matter what huskie you get, 450 0r 510, the sxv4.5 will be a faster bike, 5.5 WAY faster! The 08's come with a real warranty i think.

They were selling a NOX, very special edition race motard. I think it was a Huskie

Weird, the standard Huskies are left hand drive...

I guess their special edition is really special (that had to be expensive to convert the drive from one side to the other).

at this point I'm not willing to pay almost 10K for an SXV when i can get the Husky(slightly used) for half that. Plus, I will be using the bike more for street hooliganism than track use, although I'm going to try and race the Texas supermoto races this year

You can get a slightly used sxv5.5 for around 6K these days if you look around. The Huskie is a good bike though. 2007 SXV's sold at the end of the year came with a warranty also.

Both are great bikes, the SXV just has more power.

It will be predominantly a street rod, and the Husky appears a lot easier to service valves on based on my research. Not to mention the horror stories I've heard about the SXV's grenading(although that is one bad mother phucker). I think I've come to a fairly educated decision based on my wants, needs, mechanical abilities, and income. . . SHould be a fun ride
