Any of you knowledgeable motohoustonians have any experience with any of the Texas husqvarna dealers? I want to put a deposit down on a 2008 SMR450. Thanks for any info you may mave, as always, it's greatly appreciated

My dealer is in New Braunfels and I'm happy. If I were you, I would just get the bike. The SMRs are nice!

that's honestly a good question, and it's one i've been debating with myself as well At the current time i'm leaning towards the 450 or 510 because my daily commute is 5 miles each way, and I'm an adrenaline junky. The 450/510's are lighter, more "flickable", and just plain sexy. If i land the new job I'm trying to get, my commute will grow to 20 miles each way(still short, i know), and the 610 will be more attractive at that time. i don't mind the service intervals on either bike, I'm aware that service and SM go hand in hand. If i do spring for the 610, I'm sure i'll still be more than satisfied. Care to throw out some more opinions as to why i should get the 610 over 450? Knowledgeable input is always welcome here

I'm "idivemike" over on SMJ.

Yes, people go with 450/510 becasue of weight. If you intend to really get into SM then race class is a factor also.
