Well, adjuster says the rear tire and rim have to be replaced. Forks and swingarm are fine. I am going to have my mechanically inclined buddy take a look at it later today, just to be safe. Since he's got the exact bike that I have, we'll compare them to make sure nothing's off about mine.

take it to a shop, insurance adjusters are usually not on your side. When did you buy the bike? i noticed the PPoC around your liscense plate, but i can't picture your face? glad you're alright!!!!!!

I think you missed a gouge/scratch on your frame, didn't you? You wouldn't feel safe on a bike with a gouged frame would you? I know the insurance company would agree.

Are you referring to the 2nd pic? That whole area around the chain is so filthy, I'll have to clean it up and have a good look at it.

Ace, def take it to a shop... there are a couple sponsors here that will probably be willing to give you a free estimate... and they can talk/work the the insurance adjuster/estimator in regards to making an accurate assessment.

+1 to almost every post above this one. The fact that you walked away and didn't dump the bike is just amazing! I'm sorry about your bike and I really glad you are okay.

I had a similar experience a couple of months ago, insurance payed for everything and they didn't totaled my bike. However, I wasn't crushed between two cars so the damage might been different.
