and for all those saying to get suspension....no offense at all to sergio but he doesn't come close to maxing out the stock suspension as it is, nor does he do enough track days to justify the cost of the upgrade. he won't even notice a difference, besides a more compliant ride. the bike handles much better than he can handle it.

pipes are more about look and sound than performance, anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves...and a stock 636 sounds like a...well, it's too quiet to sound like anything.

Having more confidence in your suspension instead and less tire wear means more to me than a loud pipe.

Then again if you're not into trackdays then none of this will make a difference.
Well said, thanks for the input. What would you recommend for suspension on this bike? I settled for a scotts dampner...i dont know anything about suspension but only that the front shakes at high speeds so thats the only thing i noticed about the bikes inability to stay smooth at high speeds? The rear seems fine to me but thats just how i feel when i ride it. I could be wrong.

And I'm quite into track days, i did my first noob day on a 250...now i plan to do this again but on a 600 bike. I'm still a noob at the track, so i settled to take MSRH's next noob day, come feb/march. That should give me enough time to upgrade the suspension.

Yea, i figured as much, i dont go leaning the bike on the streets like i would on the track anyway, thats just plain dumb imo. No offense taken, cause its true.

Only thing i'm worried about is lowsiding when i touch my knees on those sunday rides, the bike feels very low and i've only ever had problems w/ the front forks, the rears handle steady. I don't see the need yet to improve my rear. bikes are meant to go at fast speeds, and only the front feels iffy.

And yes my bike w/ stock exhaust is too quiet. Costas makes fun of that fact, his slip-on yoshi is so loud i can hear HIM coming from behind, that says alot about the noise reduction on my own bike. It just sounds like a supercharger with a snail at times.

In fact, he takes the bike so low on turns that he wrecked, thats a new low.

trickstar looks badass.

That TrcikStar 10R looks killer. I've always loved the way it looks. Didn't know they made anything for the 6R though. Good lookin' exhaust.

I'd just get a slip on and spend th rest of the $$$ on good gear and a few trackdays.

i already have a 2 piece teknic for the track, suomy and boots since the beginning of this year. I'll probably get a better helmet w/ less wind noise. The vandals makes alot of wind noise starting at 70mph. I'll probably get an arai or try to hopefully test-fit into a Ti-tech AGV.

If that is the case I suggest:

TBR Slip-ons for sound and looks (if you just gotta have an exhaust that is)
Steering Damper, scotts is fine
Stainless brake lines and sintered pads
Suspension tuning by Motorcycles Unlimited- after a few more track days look into fork internals
frame, fork, and swingarm sliders. just in case
