Motorcycle shops?

I need to get a stator cover for my 03 R6, but Yamaha says there will be at least a one week wait plus the time it woudl take to place in the order before it would be able to arrive. Wouldnt mind doing ebay, except Ive had problems buying stuff before (will do ebay if i have to though). Was wondering if anyone knew of any shops around here that might have them in stock or even if they have to order it. Rather pay for something and have it right there in front of me instead of seeing a picture of it on ebay.....

Re: Motorcycle shops?

local yamaha dealers dont ever seem to stock anything. You prob get it faster if u get from ebay. look for sellers with good feedback.

also check with patrick with Motorcycles Unlimited he got me a honda 929 cover overnighted for an addiitional 30$.

Re: Motorcycle shops?

We might be...because all I need is a stator cover. My bike is leaking oil cause the covers got a crack, but I dont have any charging problems. It seems like the thing that guy is selling is the whole stator assembly, which is probably why its crazy expensive

ok yeah,,, wrong part,,, im thinking the part that covers the stator itself, and your referring to the engine cover

Everybody that owns a motorcycle should have JBweld, Duct Tape and 5 minute epoxy in their tool box.

Re: Motorcycle shops?

I just bought that same cover from Texas Yamaha South (Nasa Rd 1 near 45) for my 02 R6 for $55 cause my idiot friend did a curb slide with my bike and it was leaking a little oil from the top. They had to order it from another shop in Houston, but they had it the same day.
