Thanks for the ride you guys. Was great weather, good people, sweet bikes (all we were missing was a cruiser in the group), and no incidents.

Anyone that took 45 down through the Beltway area knows that truck drivers that can't handle their load should be shot.

I'll get to the pics soon...

It's rarely worth a run through there anymore. All the suburban sprawl makes it a frustrating ride jammed between slow cars and trucks.

Yeah, I usually end up turning them into a moving slalom

Early or late in the day isn't too bad....

I'm about to crack open a beer right now and call it a day..It was indeed a good ride today. We had great weather and an even better variety of bikes. It was cool to meet some new people too. Sorry I had to cut out after lunch. Glad everyone made it home safe.

the 500 that could...remember it's a 500R. I could have sworn that thing was buzzing right around...like...oh...I don't know...18,000 rpm...LOL. It actually holds it's own very well.

Meeting up at Starbucks

211076141 M

Martin (BigComfy) goes over a few ground rules to keep everyone safe and smiling for the day.

211076175 M

The weather was perfect for a ride through some local backroads.

211076186 M

I found my "niche" a few bikes in front of sweep.

211076193 M

First break. Good time to ask how everyone feels about their pace, the route, etc.

211076215 M

According to Solracer, riding behind me is "safe". :/:

211076266 M

Dr & Mrs Gonzo learning to use a new camera

211076234 M

Next stop was @ 3090, and we got the bikes lined up on the shoulder for some pictures.

211076406 M

Me and Chris (Solracer) hamming it up for the camera

211092879 M 0

From there it was on to Yankee's Tavern in Carlos for lunch.

211076467 M

Good food, great weather, fun people. ( <--pretty much sums up the day)

211076482 M

Sitting under a tree when the breeze hits really makes me love these rides pre and post-summer.

211076492 M

211076502 M

Addicted to MH!

211076511 M

Although I'm not one for the way a cruiser rides, I can appreciate the beauty in some models.

211076537 M

With the Beltway closed at West and I10 closed at the Beltway, I detoured down to 45, but some moron hay hauler lost his load on the freeway and caused a backup that my clutch hand wants to bitchslap.

211076543 M

I'd grown accustomed to getting rained on at the end of a ride. Today was different - the sky was bright and the sun and clouds were photo-worthy.

211076549 M

You know, this city isn't all that ugly from a few angles...

211076571 M

I had a great day today!
A big thanks to Big Comfy, Dr.Gonzo, and of course (the boss) Cris for the opportunity to share great times like these
I rolled over the big 10K today, met a great bunch of new riders, rode with some familiar riders, and broke in a new rear tire.... Just Awesome!

Instead of resizing everything, you folks can help yourselves at max res.
Look around if you dare, keep what you want, and enjoy!

P.S. please excuse the date stamp on the pics
