Any experience with the RF-1000? Are they comparable with regards to noise level?

I thought my RF was pretty quiet, but if the X-11 and RF are the same then I need to try some helmets that are really quiet!

i wouldn't really say that... my KBC has for ventilation and is louder than my rf-800 with more ventilation. i had an arai, don't remember the model, but it was quieter than the rf800 and had even better ventilation... that has been the quietest helmet i have worn so far, but i'll be getting an rf1000 in a week. quiet seems to be more so about how it fits around the neck and under the ears

I have some bigass ears, so my X-11 isn't TOO bad. Would be if they were smaller though, as the helmet flows a good amount of air.

I loved my X-11 and it saved my head at 90 mph. I currently have an Arai and it fits slightly but I think I will switch back to Shoei because of the increase in windnoise with the Arai.
