nail in rear tire!

Morning, Bad luck....i just purchased a new front tire yestersday and low and behold i found out lastnite wehn i was getting ready to ride i had a nail in my rear tire...the tire is still fairly good....i was thinking of getting it plugged...is that a good idea or should i just chalk it up and buy a new one like when i hit the lottery....

if its all the way through and your losing air I would replace it, but if its just in the tread and not all the way through id ride on it.

If you are maintaining the speed limits, you can plug it until next payday. If you are a speed junkie....replace it. I have plugged a couple of my rear tires, maintained my speed to 80 and less, Thank , but I never had any problems.

I've had the same bad luck not too long ago. I replaced my tire cause it was losing air. I kept the tire, thinking I might need it for something because it had lots of tread left on it. I was looking at the nail and then noticed there was also a second nail in the tire. So, I just decided to dispose of the tire.
