Painting Rims

I want to paint my rims of the Gsxr 1000 white. Does anybody know what I should use that will stick to the rim before I apply the paint?

If you want it done right and done really nice and hella good quality ... go to precision powdercoating. i have seen a lot of their work, and its some A+ quality work. if you want to see something they have done, go check out Javi's bike at his shop. they did the frame and wheels on his bike. I've seem powdercoating done by others that has drip runs and faded spots in hard to reach areas. Precision makes sure its perfect!

for wheels, i would suggest powdercoating.

pm scootertrash....he does good powdercoating work for nice prices.

if you MUST paint.....which is more of a hassle, make sure you clean the wheels REALLY good, maybe paint thinner first then with a wax/grease remover, scuff the wheel up with a red scotchbrite pad.....and spray away.

hows about me stripping them down and powdering them white.
The white paint will chip and look like white in a week, the powdercoat is 10 - 15 times more durable.
Also, be it known, the white I have is some seriously bright crisp white.

gloss black from the archives
MVC 172S

chrome obviously

MVC 182S

MVC 180S
the chrome looks more like highly polished aluminum.
