Dudewhrsmybike bought his old ZZR from that guy. Like someone else said, he buys wrecked bikes, fixes them ,and sells for a profit. Gary(Dude) never had any problems with his at all. Some of the paintwork wasn't show quality, but you couldn't tell from even 2 feet away.

Speedemon, I can't really blame him. He sold a bike obviously 'as-is' Since he flips bikes he probably had no idea of any trans. problems. If I sold my bike to someone and they came back 2 months later saying the trans. went to , I'd pretty much have to say sorry as well.

Wow, to me it sounds like he went above and beyond what he needed to

Go in getting it assuming ur gonna need work on it; check the title to know what you're buying. If its salvage and ur ok with it, then golden....

Do all the research you can before it bites you later

I spoke with the seller and he basically gave me the low down on the R6. From the wear on the tires, he told me the bike looked like it may have been a track bike. Fairings are decent with minor scratches. The big question mark is that a dash light is on; he thinks it may be due to the aftermarket exhaust which does not have a bung hole for the oxygen sensor. He thinks this may be causing the check engine light. Does this sound right? Do fuel injection bikes have o2 sensors? All the bikes I’ve had have always been carbs. He seems like a straight shooter but with too many unknowns and with some of the insight I got, I’ll probably pass on this one. Thanks all for the feedback...

forgott i have had tim buy bikes for my dealership around 20 bikes this year never anything wrong with any of the bikes, HE is just damm good at talking people down to penny's on the dollar when ever he buys them that is why he can sell them so cheap.

I don't think the price is that unusual. There was an 06 GSXR 600 with 500 miles listed in the local paper last week for $6000. Called and spoke with seller and all seemed legit. Sometimes the immediate need for money will make some sellers do weird things.
