+1 Id recommend the MSF class 1st. Replacing fairings can be very expensive.

90% of rider deaths are people who are self taught or taught by family/friends.

add to the 90% that riders aged 18-30 are the highest % of death and the odds are stacked against your friend.

MSF can and does save lives. san jac off of beamer offers it, as does Mancuso suzuki/kawi at almeda mall. so it's not far away and $180.

90% is pretty disgusting of a percentage. :-)

Now blue I've come up with plenty of lenghty replies, but honestly I'm not sure the effort is worth it, even for my own amusement...
I 'harassed' you, when you started talking 'back' instead of listening like you should. If you'd given your 'story' at any M&G you'd have pretty much the same style responses...and yes that includes myne. I'm sorry, but I'm tired of dealing with illiterate, shyte for brain morons...and that's pretty much how your posts were coming across. Typo's are one thing, the response you were trying to make...completely destroyed by your own verbage.

Now what your friend, might be better served by...is getting him on this forum to catch the information, flak and advice first hand, as opposed to third party. It's likely some people here will find sympathy and will try to help the guy out and educate him a bit... here and in person, on proper riding technique etc.

I think it might be somewhat good that he crashed, I think for some people a small crash earlier when they are getting over confident, could save their life in the long run. If he enjoys riding then I think he should continue but be smarter about it. If he is doing it for posing, then he might want to consider the danger, and if its worth it. Most people here have trouble thinking of life without one. I guess he could just move next door to pp1 and the problem would be solved! As for anyone, I would definitely stay off Bay Area at night, worry about the road and every living creature in the world running across it.

It's there that saying... only 2 types of riders, those who have been down and those who are going to go down. Esp newbs, right? And we were all newbs ONCE. Hopefully he gets back on but if it scared him that bad, maybe he shouldn't be riding, because next time could be more damage. I dunno, some folks just can't get back on that horse.
