damm the reality, friend has no clue, thinks he's ready to step up, can't even handle a 600.

thats the prob. the bikes are so good, they inspire false confidence. and this is a perfect example.

Take the time and meet the folks on here. If you haven't been here long enough or meet these people, they are all to you. Once you met them, you will have a different outlook.

Maybe you need to be a better friend and set the pace where he doesn't feel the pressure to keep up, or try and give him some pointers on riding.
+10 if you knew he was new to riding then why did you not keep it paced? in my opinion you had alot to do with him going down. just my 02 cents though, in our group rides or whatever, we always tell everyone to ride your pace dont try to keep up with the faster people,we will wait for you. Rule#1." noone gets left behind"

If he does decide to keep riding take hime somewhere like a parking lot or controlled enviroment so he can get comfortable with the bike before he takes it on the road......Maybe eventually on some roads that have low to no traffic and go from there.

LOL! We did 840 last weekend.. he needs to get out with someone that can take the time to teach him some basics; someplace with no traffic and low enough speeds he won't get into trouble.
