Service at Eximports has always been OK for me if I couldn't go anywhere else. Service guys were always friendly, got in and out in a reasonable amount of time and prices were better than some of the other places I've been to.

Eximports sells bikes to people who can't get bikes anywhere else - they'll finance high risk people and in turn, those people will pay for that accomodation - but at least they'll have a bike.

They seem to make money too, they just recently moved into that nice, big new location and they always have a lot of bikes to sell.

It's one thing if they're misleading people about the bikes they're selling, or if they're hiding costs in their pricing, or engaging in illicit activity, but it's been my impression that they mark their bikes up and people pay for them - you can't knock that.

its funny you ask about eximports ... a buddy of mine has a 2k7 R1, he took it there monday to get his rear tire replaced. well, as they were bringing his bike up from the back, they serv tech that was riding it hit a wet spot on the ground and high-sided it and laid it the f**k down ... $4000 worth of damage! = front, side & rear fairings, clutch lever, turning signal assy., tail light and i forgot what its called (the part on the motor / gear box that sticks out) ... dude, he was PISSSSSSED!
AT FIRST HE THOUGHT HE WAS BEING PUNK'D!

so needless to say ... they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed! ... I wouldn't go there

I personally went to Eximports two day before I purchased my bike back in May. The sales dude who was helping me tried setting me up with an '06 GSXR 600 that had 7000mi on it and no aftermarket parts for $9200. I told him that I could go right up the street to stubbs sw and get an '07 for cheaper than that brand new. He gave me his card and literally walked me to the front door and said bye.

I went straight over to Mancuso Powersports two days later (the day after they had opened) and got an '06 750 with less miles and a ton of aftermarket parts for $9300 out the door with a two year warranty.

My point is, is that they have the mentality that if you don't buy their over priced bikes some one else will. Bad business if you ask me.

I think that's exactly their attitude.

But they still sell bikes, so....

I would imagine that his friend got his bike the away from that place after that incident and maybe showed his friends, or showed them pics...

or maybe they kept it behind closed doors and only let the special people in...
