that's only because there weren't many available parts for the 100....and it came WEAK.

parts for the cannondale are TOUGH to find, if it was me, i'd steer away from it. plus, the 'ohlins' suspension it came with isn't the same stuff quality you see from the ohlins you know. the used cannondale forks go quite cheap even with the ohlins name. it's not 2k worth of suspension.

if you are going to roadrace it, you will probably end up revalveing and springing it differently, so i wouldn't put a huge importance on stock suspension.

You wont like a Cannondale either then... Great bike though.

Also consider one of these....http://www.apriliausa.com/modelli/of...llo.asp?id=111

Early production bugs should be worked out by now.

FWIW.... If converting, starting with an enduro type (XC, WR or KLX) instead of an mxer (crf-r, kxf, yzf, rmz) would likely be more practical & have much better road manners.

I do think all the big four make kick stuff, I am not real familiar with the cannondales, but after seeing it I was very impressed, and he said it rocks, supposidly with the fi more powerfull than most 650,s not sure tho, sure looks killer I even think it has brembo brakes

You should have known this was coming!

The 450 is suposed to be more reliable than the 550 and even at that I'm being told that the second genertion 07 motors and on have the bugs worked out. I'll let you know, I should get my 550 with the new motor back soon.

Tony, ask Larry how his stock 450 did at his race.

I'll have mine out at the next track day, the 24th I think, you can ride it then.

Larry crashed and took a trip to the hospital on the 1st lap...but i'm pretty sure he would've led the pack.

i'm worried about the aprilia's maintainence though.....if the 450 is supposed to be more reliable, i may look into that.

i love the look of the prilia's tards.

OK, maybe you should ask him about practice and how the race went before the crash.

For performance, you can't beat the Aprilia's. Larry said he was passing modded 450s like a 600 passes sv650s'

Yeah, the reliability is concerning. I'm sticking with mine though.
