I train BJJ at a school primarily geared towards BJJ and Judo. They have MMA classes though a few times a week. MMA schools are popping up all over the place due to the recent gain in popularity brought on by the UFC. (underpaid fighters club, )

I train with Travis Took (www.teamtooke.com). You might make this post on txmma.com to get a larger group of answers from folks who train.

I train BJJ and Muay Thai over in Copperfield area. No charge, we use LA Fitness facilities and I only have a couple of students. I'm trying right now to get one into LOnestarbeatdowns, (part of txmma? I dont know) and Renegades next year. I also send him to Elite several days a week. I'd be happy to come by and see what you have for sale, we are buying constantly. My only sponsor is a BBQ joint, we're getting t's made with their name on it. If you consider a plate of free food occasionally a sponsor.
Actually, I'm down for a few days with a blood clot in my leg. I had a pretty serious leg-striking spar session with my best student and let him throw a LOT of thigh kicks, probably too many for a guy on anticoagulants to take.
We'll come check out your place.

My partner also fights MMA. We're looking to get a cage, clothing pads and things like that. We're looking to get it up and going by Dec. He already has some people that are fighting in the next two weeks wearing our clothes. His trainer has a title fight in Toyota Center comming up and a few more in college station. I'll keep you informed!

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

I trained through a open Chinese Martial art that had some MMA fighters that trained through another organization. We had our own events among that organization(SF, my area Concord/Pleasant Hill) but limited to three schools I ever saw there... Been years for me... I haven't the stamina anymore, but would love to come check it out....
