how to make map routes?!

Ive seen people post up routes and such and i was wondering if there is a program where i can type in the turn by turn directions and it will map it for me and do the little highlighted thing and all that. LMK if you know of any such program

I did mine in Polish format...ie text and converted into jpgs from my Garmin GPS maps. They were needed in order to show some of the detail that google and the likes don't show. It isn't an easy thing to do my way but google will get you close.

then type up turn by turn directions for easy reference..

L (S) on 362
R (W) on FM 529
L (S) on 336

do it in bold and about a 14 font and it is easy to read on the tankbag
