Exactly what I was thinking. A month of not checking pressures can lead to a 10 PSI drop easy if conditions are right. That would make it handle like a pig and if you lean it the bike will roll off the tire bead. Feels like it's lowsiding from sliding, but actually it is rubber sqiurming. Same end result, you lowside.

If the tire is low you may be able to countersue your friend (his insurance actually) for the loss you created through his gross negligence. Some pain and suffering too. And your lost gear. it would be up to the court to decide if him saying it handled funny absolved him of responsibility for your fall.

Of course, MSF teaches you not to swing a leg over any bike, until you do a preflight, espacially if it's not yours.

+1 on wrecking sucks, My wreck was 2 weeks ago and im still hurting a of a lot. I still have to take pain killers to be able to walk normally. It sucks when i wake up, my leg hurts so bad and i cannot walk. It makes me feel like an old man. I had a highside and apparently me and the bike went 10 feet in the air accordijng to tony (houseofpain). Injuries heal though, your going to get worse before you get better. It happened to me, I would reccomend getting x-rays. I went to the clinic Dr at school and he said i was fine it was just a bruise.

I then went to a real dr and he took films of my knee and it turned out i had a hairline fracture and really bad contusion. Go get films taken to be sure, money spent now will be well worth it if something it hurt.

me and chris went and looked at the bike again today and took off all the fairings to see the extent of the damage, basic things i noticed

-needs new full fairing set
-new handlebars + levers + switches
-headlights
-rear seat
-rear brake lever
-brake lines
-radiator
-engine cover on right side (big hole in it)
-lenses, turn signals, etc
-frame sliders are gone
-guage cluster

that's most of the major components

i'll get into contact with peter so he can pickup the bike and trailer it to his shop and get to work lol

Haha Tiffany is joking ppls. Hehe. Funny though. Hung out with costas and he was very slow at walking. I was telling him to hurry up. Haha.... But in seriousness, we told him he needs to go get xrays done. I told him to soak in a hot bath with epsom salts as well to ease the pain for now. Anyone know a doctor to get an xray for cheap??

you should post the video of me taking 10 minutes to walk 5 feet and then going up the stairs, lol so hilarious but so painful, this sucksssss, only thing i'm hoping for right now is for no fractures or basically for everything to be ok which is hard to believe at this point. i taped up my fingers to some pens so that they stay straight and heal somewhat correctly. gotta pick up that epsom salt soon

just a heads up, if you claim it through insurance it's a total loss for sure.

as for you costas, go to cvs and get some finger splints, otherwise they won't heal properly and you'll have gimp fingers like me. your hip is most likely fractured so limit movement as much as possible. and just a warning....it takes a LONG time to heal. 6-8 weeks for the pain to go away. if it's broken you're looking at about 4-6 months to get back to normal. fingers will be fine in a month or so if they're just fractured. try to stay off your feet and get some of the green rubbing alcohol i told you about, it'll make your muscles much less sore.

as for the bike, if you haven't found anyone yet, bring it to me, i'll get it back on the road for ya. and you know i'm cheap, lol.

hope you're feelin better bro.

Like i said, go get some x-rayz and check for any hair-line fractures. Follow Tiffany's advice and get the kind of crutches that old men use w/ wheels. just get this

Costas,
Sorry to hear about your wreck. I'd definitely recommend at least getting some x rays to make sure everything is o.k.
If I can help out in any way let me know.

Better, use real ice. Apply the ice pack for 20 minutes then let the skin warm up again for about 20 min.

+ 1 million on seeing a doc for x-rays

That's the catch-all right there. He can try to fight them, but I doubt he'd win on that argument alone. Just my .02
