sniff sniff....is that track bike?

sucks to hear about the incident, glad you are semi-ok. there's some things in life that you don't try after someone says that there is something weird about it.

For example, "this milk smells funny, will you taste it?"
Or "my bike is handling weird, will you test ride it?"

i hope things work out best for you.

thanks for all the suggestions, my friend says he's glad i'm ok but i'm more worried about his bike =X

i went to the clinic, doctor didnt do much, asked me if i'm bruised and i said no, prescribed some pain killers and that's about it. i'm not gonna take them for a while because then i wont know if the pain is getting worse or not. if it does get worse, anyone know a place to get xray's done at a decent price? i have to check with parents to see if i have medical coverage, but they dont know about my mishap yet. it sucks trying to walk normally around them when i really can't lol. i do know if they found out i'd prty much have to sell my bike =\ my finger is getting fatter and fatter and it's hard to shift gears in my car lol

i'll keep you guys updated with my progress and recovery, really appreciate the care and concern this forum shows to a stranger

If I was still a vet tech, I'd let you in after clinic hours. Been there, done that before when I broke my ankle a dozen years ago and didn't have health insurance.

You got a great attitude. Trust me from first hand experience, there is nothing worse than crashing someone else's bike. Your attitude definitely helps though. Very cool!

Wow. Sorry to hear about your accident. I'm glad you aren't hurt worse. Could have jammed your fingers when you fell, that hurts and swells just as bad as a break. Soak them in Epsom Salts. I was going to ask about insurance and employment? You okay financially? Other than owing someone a bike? No one wants to ask for help, but sometimes you might need it and wonder if anyone cares enough to help. No way of knowing without asking.

for pictures.

I saw it all, I was right behind him and he lowsided. His rear hit a bump and that was the end of that. When i saw him tumbling and hitting the curb, i thought he was a goner. I started hauling when i parked the bike, to keep any cars from hitting him but thankfully its not only well-lit, but there were NO cars around when his body flew to the opposite side of the road.

I told this fool not to move and a few seconds later he gets up like nothing happened. O, y, I fell? orly? So, your leg didn't swell huh, good to hear bro, hope you get better soon!

Costas,
I saw the photos, you are very lucky, Dude! These threads almost always go a different way...

Your hand doesn't sound good, I would watch for discoloration to go with that swelling. Hope it doesn't give you too much trouble.

A friend of a friend rode one of my bikes on my bday two years ago and found a curb at 30mph. Never paid for damages but split. Probably cause I didn't give permission.

More importantly, things can be fixed; egos can be bruised but repaired. You have a good attitude and so do your friends so that's the biggest plus in my book. Take care and rest patiently... It all will be sorted out....

If the rims arent bent, go back & check tire pressures. Air & pavement temps are starting to drop dramatically & most street riders aren't in the habbit of checking tire pressures before they ride.

I was prepping my race bike on a friday night in College Station & by the time I got to cresson on saturday morning a cold front came in & it dropped my tire pressure by like 14psi. Talk about a scary first lap
