uhhh, nah.

I used to hear about the loop being done in 12 minutes.

At 38 miles around, at an average speed of 180 MPH it takes 12.66 minutes.

Even if you're doing 200 mph+ on the straights there are plenty of curves that will knock your average speed down TREMENDOUSLY.

12 minutes SEEMS impossible, 10 minutes probably IS impossible.

me and u are probably the only 2 that actually pulled out the d=rt formula, I actually proved myself wrong when I calculated it all...38.3 miles around the loop average speed about 170mph still came out to about 13 mins

So back on topic. Who has riden the loop in less than 15 minutes?

I don't think anyone could either unless the road is cleared with no cars in sight. Imagine 13 mins at a haul speed of 180mph constant. Maybe in 20 of an average speed of 120mph.

You get the city to stop the traffic and I'll try it....

Have the 220 guages on now; topped out old gauge set at 185... willing to try but I'm not doing it while playin' pong with cagers

Why? My opinion is that if u have done the 610 loop in anything faster than say 20 minutes then u are a dumbass and a danger to society.
There are alot of other places to haul than on the loop.
again my opinion.

That would be cool. It seems that everytime bikes together now days you end up with HPD choppers over head and ground units hearding everybody out.
Unless you have a M&G or a small group that gets meets at a spot, you don't really have that anymore.

The reason I ask is because I wanted to see how much faster the bikes are today compared to back then. I know how long it took me to run it on a '91 Huricane back in '93. The time was nothing spectacular and the bike is nothing compared to what is available today.
I just wanted to know how long it takes a good rider on a Busa to do it.
This might not be a good topic anyway...

220mph guage is over rated and not accurate. Looks cool but will never reach it without a turbo.
