so i saw someone posted a thread yesterday about jci and i just wanted to say thanks to the people who were out there in those days.. i never really was into bikes when i went out there with a friend, at the time i was in fifth grade (like 10). i went several times and i fell in love with bikes and i now own an r6. ive been riding about two years now and i dont plan on stopping anytime soon!

We should start it back up. Maybe we could rustle up enough troops to head up there and hang out, then as other bikes are cruising Westheimer, they will pull in...Thats how it used to work, the more bikes that were there, the more bikes would pull in...

Everyone just needs to stay cool and not be stunt'n and acting stupid, thats why we got kicked out in the first place, people trying to show off and act like bad .

easy for most people to say....but to all the noob riders and squids...they will do it regardless. it's usually the noob riders that gets spots like that ruined.

I was talking to a guy one time and mentioned that I wanted to get a bigger bike eventually. I was on my Bandit 400 at the time. He stated that he buys and sells bikes as a side business. The R6's had just come out and were the hot , I mentioned that I wanted one.

He told me he could get me any bike I want for 2500 and I could even pick out the bike. I acted interested knowing fully that he was talking about a stolen bike and he proceeded to explain the who process to me.

Those were the days.

I think I remember JCI happening as early as '91 or '92. It was not as big as it became a few years later, but still the place a few bikers chose to hang out.

I liked it because from what I remember it was an older crowd, at least around 98 - 99, you saw a few in their late teens early 20's but it wasn't often.
