imagine this...I googled this

"salvage title registration in state of texas"

and I got this many hits:386,000

and this was the first link I clicked on

The pain is if you want to get a blue title for it again. Otherwise get it inspected and take your slip with you to register it.

i dont have any details, i am at work... but was informed that it is not a simple task. and honestly i dont care what color the title is. i dont care if it is BLUE or PINK. i hope that after this bike i dont get another one... i hope this will be the last bike i buy!

My Gixxer had a salvage title. The people at the tax office were very helpful and it was no big deal at all.
As far as color goes there is a lot of misinformation out there about that. A blue title indicates that the vehicle has no leins against it. It doesn't matter if it's slavage or not.
My title clearly says salvage but it is blue meaning that the bike is mine free and clear. This is also what people mean when they say "Is it a clear title?".
Even if it is salvage it can be a clear title.


Sorry, I know this wasn't what you asked but I was trying to be helpful. (at least it wasn't a dead elec scooter!)
