Obama's wife's driver hit a biker

Sounds like the dreaded don't look and turn left in front of motorcycle. I like how the writer doesn't say anything about who was at fault.

She was being passed on the left illegally by the biker when they turned left in his path. Obama's driver not guilty, it appears. But partly to blame for not checking his six.

For those that can't get to it.... it appears the motorcyclist is at fault...

Obama's wife uninjured in collision with motorcyclist

Associated Press

HAMPTON, Iowa — The wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama escaped injury Tuesday when the vehicle that was carrying her to a campaign event in north-central Iowa collided with a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was injured and taken to the hospital, said Katie McCormick Lelyveld, a spokeswoman for Michelle Obama.

None of the campaign staff in the vehicle with Mrs. Obama were hurt.

The vehicle was hit by the motorcycle as it attempted a left turn just south of Hampton, where Michelle Obama was due at a rally.

She later told the crowd the event would be rescheduled.

Where does it say she was being passed on the left by the bike? That article sounds to me like they turned in front of an oncoming bike.

Another article?

Looks to me like this wasn't a case of the motorcycle attempting the pass on the left unless he barely clipped the front left of the car and tore everything off.
