Sorta like the old discount tire commercials where the old lady throws a tire through their window.

..funny thing is, so far I've found Comcast to infinitly more knowledgable & effective compared to Time Warner, when they were in control.

First I've heard anyone say that... they've just been problems for me since the switch.

You've got to understand the 'service' I recieved from Time Warner...

6 months, before they actually got me connected, from the time I requested it. Forget I told them, at the onset that the nearest 'tap' was over five hundred feet away... no 5 installation crews, 3 construction managers.. various calls all the way up to the regional manager before something happened.
12 months, in which their 'intelligent' & 'experienced' repair crew... utilised a dysfunctional junction box (tie in from the fiber line to the co-ax). Seems if they close it, it shorted out...so they left it open, and threw a rain-coat over it for when it rained.
Neighbor had service added, degraded the signal sufficiently to 'kill' my service... 2 weeks, 4 calls for them to figure it out, after I had told them what had taken place... another 2 weeks before they came out and replaced the cable with a larger one.

with Comcast, to date.. if/when service has gone out... it's been restored within hours at latest. I call, tell the tech support whats going on.. give a ping and or tracert. If I know it's an area outage, I can report if for the neighbors on the same call, don't have to wait for X amount of people in the same area to call in themselves b4 they will record at is an area problem.

I unfortunately live in an area where the only options for internet are Comcast, dial-up and ISDN.
