I personally thing that this is a great idea. It will be cool to have these on different routes as kind of an instructional basis for group riding. Sounds fun!!

Lilmckee would sweep for Jimmy's rides. I know because I'm the slowest.

incorrect,
Just if these two guys post a ride, then it is an "official" MH ride.

I support both of these cats and think MH choose some good riders to represent the board.

don't misunderstand the post. This post is basically, 1. A ride Guideline, and 2. an announcement that both Alonzo and Martin have been chosen and accepted the responsibility to be the "MH Lead riders" for MH specific rides.

if you want to set up a ride yourself, feel free to do so..

Alonzo and Martin will be tagging there rides with the Motohouston name and, representing MH to the fullest.

The TSBA joined the AMA just for the protection that goes along with the liability of hosting a ride. You don't necessarily have to worry about the rider that crashes but you do have to worry about what his family and loved ones may do if the person crashes and dies as a result and that is sue anyone and everything associated with a ride.

Dannyboy is usally in the very back. There have been two groups lately as well. The faster group always waits at every stop for every last rider to show up, no matter how long it may take. Normal road conditions are explained if anything changes. If we know there is usually gravel, bad pavement, etc. . . riders are informed of what possibly lies ahead. Not to mention the blind corners a few roads have. People know Jimmy rides fast, especially by now. If they're upset that Jimmy does not ride right beside them and babysit, maybe they should pay attention to what kind of ride it's going to be. There WILL be someone there with them, but it won't be Jimmy. What else, in your opinion, could be done on top of the speech at the beginning, waiting for anyone and everyone, and explaining what to expect on the next road?

Maybe you talked to someone misinformed about the style of ride it was? Anything and everything I've heard about his ride from the people that actually ride it, is that he DOES do a good job. I'm usually 3rd in line, but a few weeks ago I rode in the back of the pack because I felt like taking it slower, and everyone back there(that day at least) was as happy as could be.

I absolutely LUV GONZO's exceptional instructional skills at every track event I've participated in so I have no problems with Gonzo or BC for that matter taking these lead roles, but I'm not feeling this too much, it seems lately a lot of lines are being drawn in the sand with MH and "spons'rd events" i'm not sure if this is a bike club or a bike forum. Who makes MH the be all and end all to group rides? :/:

I definately think if anyone can teach someone about riding period it's Gonzo, but everyone is responsible for themselves when u hit the street. U want instruction, go to the track and PAY for it in a CONTROLLED environment...I do.

No offense to anyone on this and I won't be commenting back to any flamers, good luck MH.

Be advised, this is just information that i've heard from folks who have been on these rides. I cannot say for myself.

you cant talk about what you have to witnessed first hand.... That being said either me, mckee, vmaxgirl or sexualchoclate sweep depending on who all comes and who wants to sweep. We always take turns sweeping and always stop at the intersections to wait on the people in the back. If we didnt have a desiginated person to sweep and didnt stop at all intersections to make sure everybody is coming then that might be ture but its not.

Why exactly are you guys reading so deep into this? The people selected have a long standing track record and therefore where selected. Creating drama at this point is not going to place you in a better position.

well, at some point you have to seperate yourself (MH in this case) from some irresponsible/unreliable representatives!!

This is nothing personal against anyone Candy!! The forum keeps growing. As your children grow older, more rules and regulations are laid down. Same thing here.
