main prob w/ kats, heavy and lotsa plastics, drop it and it gets expensive.

see how pride is a , you can buy a current non-totalled (clean title) ninja 250, that is a perfect beginner bike. but alas ego say's you need a big bike.

don't forget gear, MSF thats easily $500-600

i like the Ninja ZX6R. Which is actually not bad on pricing.

The 00 Ninja 500 isnt what i was looking for in styling. If im going to buy a bike, i want it to be half decent looking, not a bike from 1980's..

Yes i know, styling doesnt matter, but ive always wanted a nice looking bike

Look into a used Hyosung GT250R

It's a good looking beginner bike.

The money isnt that big of a deal.. I have more than the 1200 i was talking about in the other thread.. Im just looking for somewhat of a older bike or something so IN CASE (knocks on wood) i lay it over, i dont fudge it up. Which is why i mentioned the Kan-of-Tuna

You can only pursue this guy so much.

You have done your duty to warn him.

If you were actually looking for an older bike you would be looking for something made between 1982 and 1994, not something that "looked good"

don't leave cuz you don;t like what your hearing, it's called reality. learn from it.

your not the first to come here w/ the same attitude, most people aren't gonna be stupid, but why do so many crash and die. it's the next guy right?

well the last guy said the same thing.

Dude,

It's ok. Maybe some of this is coming out a little aggressive....yeah just a tad. It's just that we really try to make a point about safety and how your first bike is def not your last one(trust me on this).

You will be a better off on a smaller bike to start off with + you can sell it for what you paid a few thousand miles down the road.

Bikes are cool.... very cool and look it 2 that much we all agree. You need to actually you should get something easy to learn on even though it isn;t a SS bikeand then move up.

Learning to ride is completly diff than learning to drive and the little bike will give you a good basis to start from. Looks easy but at first it isn;t and is quite intimidating TBH.

GL hope you stick around the forum.

I totally understand where you guys are coming from, because when my friend bought his bike (charliebrown) i warned him to be VERY careful on it because it was his first bike..

So i COMPLETLY understand what your saying. Saftey is KEY on a motorcycle. But I rode his bike a few times, and i never once rolled the throttle. I have a three year old son, i do not want to put MY life in danger over a little fun. screw all that.

I just like the freedom on a bike. But i also dont like the styling of a older bike. Thats just me..
