wow, I got a msg from his coworker earlier today....I hate to hear this. :(

You're in my prayers Scotty, heal up quick and I'm praying you don't need surgery! Thank it was the lower T's, usually heal fast and only have to watch for internal bleeding. Terrible they can't let you move, but I'm so happy to hear you're not paralyzed!!!

I'll drop by in the evenings as long as work lets me--lemme know if you need anything at all!! 713-689-4498

He seemed in good spirits, all considering. He was in pain but that is definately to be expected. I guess the Doctors don't want to overload the neuro receptors with a back injury and all the swelling with drugs.

He will be moving to a room in the near future so that is the best news.
I plan on going again and dropping off a care package once he gets in a room. I didn't see his family and I wanted to tell them that if they need anything while in Houston to just let me know.

I have only know him for a couple of months but he really is a great guy.
He will be in our prayers that recovers fully from this accident.

Please post the room number once he is moved.

It was really sad seeing him laying there in bed, especially since it was obvious he was in pain. He did crack a smile here and there.

He can't move but wiggle his toes and his fingers. I guess he is not allowed to. He can only look straight up pretty much, so no magazines or anything yet. He can't hold up anything.

He said they were thinking about moving him into a room tonight, so let's keep our fingers crossed for that.

The folks visiting tomorrow morning, if you go up to the 4th floor - 4C (neuro section) and he is not there anymore, please let us know what room they moved him to. As soon as a ph no is available, pls post up as well.

Since he can't really move his arms yet and most likely only able to watch TV once he gets in the room, I am sure he appreciates the company. It was obvious that the visitors today cheered him up and he said seeing how Tim recovered was really an inspiration for him.

Oh, there was no family there tonight. We were the only visitors. We were eight folks, went in 2s and it worked out really well!

There were several others.

Seth and I didn't go because a LOT of people said they were going, and with only 2 in at a time, for 30 minutes, it seemed like there would be too many. We'll be going by on our ride back Sunday.

Mckee, Get better, I'll be visiting soon. Scott is a real stand up guy, real good guy. Think positive, you'll be up and about again, I'm sure of it.

This sucks. I just really met Scott a few weeks ago when he lead the "slow" group on the Sunday ride even when he wanted to be in the mach 1 group but he lead all of us slower peps. Super cool guy.

Get well man and I hope you have speedy recovery.

Thoughts & Prayer were and are with you!

I saw him last night. You can tell that having people visit him helps him out ALOT!!! If anyone does happens to see or speak to his family, please ask them if there is anything they need ... make sure to let them know that he has HUGE family here! and I know I dont only speak for myself when I say that we are all here to help out in any way we can!
