laid off

well i went into work today expecting to sell some computers and found out that dell was closing the waco site and got laid off. good thing i kept my part time job at game stop.

that sucks, i mean usually when they close a place down it's planned well in advance. That sucks that they just sprung it on you. i dunno what i'd do if i got laid off... well other than have an anxiety attack

it was not a retail store it was a call center. and the good thing is they are paying me for the next 2 months and i wasn't planning on staying there for more then a month.

yeah with in the next 21 days im getting close to $5000 plus $2000 this paycheck that is on its way to my house. plus 900 today. and i kept my part time job at gamestop just in case something like this happened.

there are now 3 call centers in the us and a few over seas. then there is some tech support for XPS customers only thats in flordia.

oh yeah a load of the call centers are outside of the U.S. but they are working on moving them back into the U.S. they just decided that having the 250 reps here in waco that pull in over 800,000 in revenue a day just isn't quite enough. so they are closing all but three in the U.S. the one in round rock the one in O.K.C and the one in nashville
