LSTD TRACKDAYS

Hi,
Registration for the October 26th track day at TWS (Texas World Speedway) is now open. The 26th is a Friday track day before the CMRA race weekend so we will not be offering the C-group or LSTD riding school. Our Friday group format is (Expert, Novice,CMRA/Street). As usual we will offer the CMRA licensing school. Below is a link to the sign up page for the 26th:

Registration for the October 15th track day at MSR is still open, we are offering both the LSTD riding school and CMRA licensing class. The 15th is a Monday track day so our group format is (A,B,C). Below is a link to the sign up page for the 15th:

Thanks,
LSTD

Ok I sent Tom and email and I didn't quite get clairification that I was looking from him maybe you guys can answer it quicker.

My friends are coming down for the 10/26 track day and I didn't realize it was the CMRA format. They don't have much experience on the track but have several years of riding each. Will they be ok in the CMRA/Street group?

Is this Jay?

I did reply to an email today asking about that.

Anyway, there will be a "street" group, that will be akin to our normal "B" group.

There will be no "C" group this track day.

There will be an "expert racer" group, a "novice racer" group, and then the "street group" that will have the CMRA licensing school.

so,, are we not going to be running the new section on this day? or do you not know "yet"?

that would make this particular t/d rotation CW, right?

He's asking about the 10/26 at TWS (Texas World Speedway).

Regarding Cresson on the 15th, I asked if we could run it cw since the last day was ccw, so we'll see. At Cresson, we are only running the original track since the radio issues have not been resolved with that track. Radio solutions have not come up to our standards for safety, so we can't justify the risk right now.

We were the first to run the whole track when it opened, and the issues at the track had then are still present. We ran it a second time last year after the first one, and had some spectacular incidents that brought to realization the deficiencies and the risk were just not worth it.

Cresson will have the traditional "A, B, and C" group configurations, and hopefully, we'll be running cw ('cause daddy likes it like that!).

I didn't mean to imply you didn't reply to my email I did get it I just wanted to clarify and see if some inexperienced people in the "street" group on 10/26 were going to cause problems.

I think the consensus is that it isn't safe in some of the turns for run-off (like between 3 and 4) going cw... can't remember.
