simple, take off the Full system while your in "school" then when your off, put it back on! and BOOM! done.. or you can look at your old peg and is if there is a way to unbolt the peg itself and extend a bolt or something and more it work... or just bolt on your peg and ziptie it around your stock peg ahahahahhahaha

I say go and find a longer bolt thats the same size, just longer. It doesnt need to be super strong. Plus you could leave it in the tool kit and swap it out when need be. What would that take? Like 2 minutes.

or you could even try and find a long delrin frame slider. It would protect the pipe some and give the broads a place to put their flip-flops.

Now THAT has possibilities!

After many years of messing with and modifying the SV, I can say that some of these suggestions won't work.

You can take the bracket that you have with the new exhaust and use a bolt-on peg (which the stock pillion peg is not a bolt-on, it's a hinged peg that has the hinge portion forged with the bracket). I have a couple of pegs that will work like this with the M4 bracket, just remember that it won't last long 'cause it won't be too strong- not to mention if your passenger puts too much weight on the peg, it will bend the bracket for the exhaust and may put the can in to the tire (happened before).

If you're that concerned about it, make a bracket out of steel and bolt a peg to it. You can use the M4 bracket as a template. It's not that hard to do.

The reason a "longer bolt" won't work well is because there isn't enough thickness for the long bolt to be stable, and the leverage will likely bend the bracket, going back to my point above.

After I looked at the pics I saw the new bracket and thought bending might be an issue.
Looks like someone is going to be calling a machinist!

Sounds like it is time to get rid of the rear seat and end the worries.

What's going on, modified since we saw it last already! Man!

Anyways; cheaply(if the dirt bike thing doesn't pan out) I like the idea of a longer bolt; but I'd just get a threaded shank, then you could secure the exhaust with two bolts. you could space the footpeg however far out you want and then use nuts to secure washers to hold a pcv tube. then slide an old grip over it(covers up all the hardware, washers etc) and do it to the other side.

The peg positions likely to be off, but may make it look like a slip-resistant stunt set up or something... Just my 2 cts
