Exhaust elimated my rear peg-help

Okay, I put an M4 Full Race System on my SV650s and it comes with an aftermarket bracket that eliminates the rear peg. My question is, how do I still carry a passenger with me? Does anyone make a peg that I could put on there so one of the bolts just passes through the peg(like a 50 peg I guess)? Or is there an easier/better solution?

Ha, thanks for the insightful reply

I know I put myself in this position by buying the full race system but I couldn't pass it up for the price I was given. And of course now that I'm back in school all these bishes want to ride and I'd love to ride some of the hot ones but I have nowhere for them to put their feet

See if you can rig something up to piggy back on the mounting bolt for the pipe. Maybe find the same size bolt just 3 or 4 inches longer and put a small piece of pipe over it like a sleeve. Or get a BMX peg and bolt it on there.

Just gotta get creative.

Have them wrap their legs around your waist or sit side saddle

Simple answer- no, you can't carry a passenger with that exhaust.

Now, you can make your own bracket, it's not that hard, the only problem is that your passenger is going to have their knees in their ears when they ride with you...

After you make a sturdy enough bracket for the peg, you just use any 'ol peg to bolt on there. Don't forget, you'd need to make the other side peg just as high too.

I think getting their knees up to their ears is kinda the point

But then he'd need to turn around and for that, some SERIOUSLY LONG bar extensions would be needed to maintain control of the vehicle.

<---on the chicks having their knees at their ears

On a more serious note, I only date short chicks(I'm 5'7" and they have to be shorter than me) So I don't think it'd be tooooo bad for them.

As long as you keep your trips "short", the'll be OK. Anything longer than about 15 minutes will probably kill 'em. Unless your rider is 3' tall.

I don't know much about SV exhausts but they dont make different style exhaust configurations for it like they do for the gixxer? high mount, mid mount, etc...

for the gixxer you can get either of the 3. The high mount looks ugly IMO and the mid mount (I think it's the "race mount") eliminates the rear peg, and then the lower mount allows to have a peg. I think it's just a differently shapped mid-pipe.

I didn't rea all the replies but i did see this mentioned and I wanted to +1 it.

Longer bolts with spacers. Make sure you get high strength bolts because of the leverage but with some high mount exhaust systems they include the bolts and spacers. You will need to find a machine shop to get something made that doesn't look ghetto but it can be done easily.
