Finally got the busa done.....

Finally got her done after the "incident" in June....
New swingarm, new undertail, new brakes(rotors/lines/race pads), new tire etc.

Now its setup for a more streetable ride, actually able to hit some sweepers etc...Last night I figured out the running issues with it, piece of sh*t PCIIIusb crapped out. Got it up and running, still needs some tuning but its rideable...Gonna limp the old out to SSBG tonight...

Yeah I just went and got a new plate and tags from the DMV since my other plate didn't survive the wreck... Its half assed clean right now....it needs my "super detail" job on it but.....You gotta remember that bodywork is almost 8yrs old, over 30k miles on it, most of which was at "high speed" which is hard on paint(chips etc) but its good enough for now...I have a new AFR gauge on the way to tie into my LM1 data logger so I can tune it a little easier around town. This weekend I will be knee deep into tuning and riding it.. I did have to go back to an OLD PCII which also required me to go back to stock fuel injectors so I can only run around 12lbs of boost now(around 260hp) but I guess I will have to live with that for now....

Looking good. Even at 260 hp, that's almost 3x the power of my mighty YZF "Thundercat." You don't need all that. Wanna trade for a week?

My wife would kill me if I rode up in the driveway on that.

Glad to see it back up and running. Have fun tuning, and be careful!

Not sure about trading it but you can sure ride it whenever you want! Just let me know when you want to pick it up...

Y'all gotta understand that Alan isn't your typical bike guy. He spends more time tuning and getting things done right, (all the way down to specs of dirt on his bike) than most people spend riding their bikes on the street. He worked at a couple of local bike shops for a while and I guarantee you that he'll give anyone a run for their $$$ as a tuner/builder. He did the install for his turbo and can probably give you more details about the Busa than the engineers that designed them.

Looks good Alan, who did you arm and what length? Wadn't one of those psycho specials was it?

Santana, this is a Spencer Cycle's arm....Its +4" with the billet blocks and billet brake caliper hanger(no braket stay bar). I originally had an E-Freak +4" 600 arm but it was causing MAJOR issues with the suspension, hence "the incident".. Now I am back to rolling a busa arm.

As far as busas, I have now built 4 busa motors, one of which made 430hp, I just bought a bike lift for my garage and I am gonna start doing some work on the side again just for fun, like the old days before I started working at the stealerships.

South Shore Beer Garden in League city....Weds is Clear Lake bike night there..

Yeah its an old 1st gen stg 1 ghetto kit, T3 turbo, external gate w/10lb spring in it(for pump gas) makes between 250-260hp at this boost depending on dyno/conditions etc.. Just a street cruiser, nothing killer..I couldn't afford the $7-8k for a stg 2 kit.
