By milage from my crib on the South side.

West of the Brazos in Damon (East of Rosenberg)
Noah's Ark in Bacliff
The Spot in Galveston (Always crowded)
Orsak's in Fayeteville
Yankee's Tavern in Carlos (Long haul, but darn good ride on FM 3090)

i'm asking because i'm not too familiar w/ the roads around here. i'd like to get this ride together, but the only experience i have up that way is going from austin to houston through magnolia.

149 to 3060 looks good to me. anyone else have any input or suggestions?

ok, i'm interested in doing this in the next few weeks.

how would this sunday (21st) or next sunday (28th) work for you guys? any other days you'd be interested in?

I'd be interested in possibly the afternoon of friday the 26th since i get off at 2. maybe if we did it that day we could head up there and beat traffic out of town, do an early dinner and an evening ride back into town? or do a few hours of riding, then dinner and head back?

I'll try to make it depending upon the day that's picked. The proposed routes are good. I've ridden all of them before but the Texas Renaissance Festival is in full swing (Oct. 6 thru Nov. 25) right now in Plantersville. That used to mean traffic would be all backed up through Plantersville, Magnolia, and even Tomball. And it also means a lot of distracted cagers trying all the side roads.

For now, I'd recommend something a little farther west around Lake Somerville or maybe slabbing it out a little farther on 290 before heading north on the backroads. Does anyone know if 362 is still torn up and nothing but gravel?

i think i could probably do the 23rd... just need to make sure that i'm not gonna have to go into work that day. we're getting to a critical point in our project and i don't know if i could even take a vacation day if they want us to come in.

Here is the route I run up through 3090/Navasota. I and another 109 may head through there this Sunday if anyone is interested in going. We usually stop off in Montgomery for breakfast and back in the Tomball area before lunch.

We usually meet up at 2920 and Kuykendahl. We usually meet up there around 7 - 7:30 AM and make it to Montgomery in about an hour. Breakfast at "Old Montgomery Steak House" and head out towards Richards.

6060 Fm 2920 Rd
Spring, TX 77379-2542, US is the physical address.

Here is a map of the route, we may plan to stop off in Washington, Texas at the park there for a break after 3090. This more than likely will be a slow/moderate pace ride. Nothing crazy.

Man, I dont know how I missed the post last week on this thread. You guys still up for the 23rd? I'm gonna ride this Sunday with some coworkers (weather permitting). I might have to steal some of these routes as none of us have ever led and country ride. Anyone interested? Mainly cruisers and 1 or 2 sportbikes.
