94 cbr with 53k miles. What yall think?

Bike looks to be in excellent condition(red/white/black color scheme). 53k miles. Comes with chain breaking tool, laser alignment for tires, both back and front stands, D&D exhaust, dremel tool, cam chain adjuster, new michelin pilots (front and rear). Vortex sprockets (14 front, 43 rear).

New battery, regulator and rectifier. Carbs were just synchronized.

I've been talking with this guy, and we have come to a price of $2100.

The only thing that worries me in the least is the 53k miles. But from the sounds of it, this guy has treated this bike like a baby. I'm gonna try and find a close Honda shop, maybe something in Lake Charles, to do a once over for me. Check the compression and what not?

What you guys think? Any thoughts?

Thanks

Depends....I bought my 93 CBR 1000F from a guy who was a Mech.... I was a little worried, so I took it to Honda of Houston where they told me it was in EXCELLENT condition. I've ran a few time with the guys from SB on 249, and if I din't out run them..I was running with them. I say use you best judgement and run with it!!

Sounds like he has taken very well care of it; especially with the alignment tool, condition you describe it. Price wise? Make sure its something you wanna invest your money in. It's worth whatever you are willing to pay for it...

Me personally, 2k is alot to invest in something if it could be reinvested as a down or partial payoff on something more desireable for me... If you've been looking for one, sounds like a good bike to consider.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I have been keeping an eye out for a cheaper sport bike for a few months now. Something to ride besides my Magna.

The guy is meeting me sometime this week at the Honda shop over here in Orange. He says they did a compression check also at lake charles honda, but doesn't mind at all to let this shop check her out.

I'll post pics if/when I get her.
