I really don't care what you think, but I'm not sitting in some hot freaking traffic and I feel safer on the shoulder (emergency lane).

^ is that an argument? again you chose to ride/drive what you do. so if i have a car that doesn;t have A/C i should be allowed to drive the emer. lane. 1/2 the cars prolly don;t have A/C.

Who said I was trying to argue? I'm just stating my normal behavior when encountered with traffic on the freeway.

Its not a good idea here in the Texas, even in the United States. People here would abuse it and you would see accidents from dumb trying to go too quick in between cars. It works in Europe, because over there people drive really small cars compared to here. Where almost everyone has a freaking car the size of an Excursion and there's always only 1 person in the car.

Ive had cars move over to block me when im just doing about 10mph's in between traffic, come on. People here in the US are not taught to watch out and pay attention for motorbikes coming in between lanes. In Europe its a common thing for people to know that there may be a motorbike coming n between a lane, whether they see the rider is a different story.

Now until US changes the motorbike from just a leisurely category to a means of transportation, there will never be much support from local governments to the motorbike community. Say no, to lane splitting.

Well, I'm not hurting anyone and I'm taking minimal space in the endless line of cars...and I just got give a f*&k what the cagers think. Plus the old aerostar that locked up their brakes behind me and almost took me out kinda turned me off on traffic.

From what I've heard, if I prove a point against you you'll just delete the post and ban me so it's not worth the effort.

in LA you VERY RARELY see a vehicle larger than a ford F150. most are compact cars becuase it's not uncommon for people to drive an hour and a half to work and gas is on average 30 cents per gallon higher than here. tons of little cars and 11 foot freeway lanes, plenty of room in Cali to do this. i have seen goldwings do it with plenty of room to spare

make a point, the only point you;ve made is that your special and above the law. why can't car's follow you in the emergancy lane they encounter the same traffic and prob's you did/do.

don;t like the feeling, well welcome to motorcycling, take the good w/ the bad.

So what's the difference between riding the line in between lanes and riding barely on the shoulder. I don't haul @ss and I only do it if traffic is stopped. Apparently cagers aren't as opposed to it because I've never received a negative reaction from anyone.

Thanks for that. Those you off will just join in the masses that already try to legislate and control bikes.

When I drive a car, I don't care if bikes care if I care about anything.

I don't think I'm special or above the law. I'm perfectly aware that I could get a ticket but the $200 or $500 fine or whatever is worth the couple of hours I save not sitting in traffic a month.

cars can't ride between cars in traffic bikes can. i bet teh cops would differ. what seperates you riding on the shoulder and an 18 wheeleer w/o A/C riding the shoulder, they both fit.

again the rest of the world lane splits, they DON'T ride the emergancy lane.
