member of this board?

someone today on a blue r6 (probably 2003 model) flew past me and several other cars on the HOV today. the only gear he was wearing was a helmet...he was passing cars at a crazy speed (faster than 75mph). is that person a member of this board?

was going to get a picture, but he went by so fast, couldn't get my camera out in time.

last time I went down the HOV I had to run 80 to keep from getting ran over.. but passing? Guess it depends which one, because 290 is pretty tight to pass on...

But he was definately a squid, 'cause anyone with real skillz would have wheelied while passing...

290 has some very good and wide places to pass peeps, I pass folks in the HOV lane I find it to be very addictive, when I 1st started I told myself I would only pass if traffic was going under 10 mph then I raised it all the way to 50 the spped limit is 60 to 65 depending where you are then one day I passes a lady on the left and she look at me I guess that she never saw me I must have scared the out of her she jerked the car to the right and almost hit the wall. After that I cooled it, my point is that even thought you might not end up under a buss while trying to pass it on the HOV you could freak someone else out and make them have an accident. But the rain sucks so does the HOT sun in the summer time so pass away just try to be carefull very carefull if you do it. Also if you get run over by a buss truck or car while passing it really wont matter how much gear you are wearing so I dont get the commet about wearing gear while passing in the HOV lane no jacket in the world will save you from a 2 ton Truck that is roling over your chest. To summarize they should take the walls down like in Dallas and California and so many other places walls on HOW lanes Stupid no matter what you have people will break the law I see folks riding 1 person in the HOV lane everyday. Thats why cops patrol it guaranteed ticket writing now where is gixxerbill?

Pretty sure that it is also labeled as a no passing zone, so that is a freebie ticket if they catch you

Not to mention that blazing speed of 75.. my gawd!

I am going to be a good boy until I get back to the hillcountry. No sense speeding on straight roads any squid can do that.

Make up your mind man! The guy was flying by you so fast at 5- 10 mph faster then you? He was going 75, then it's you were going 75-80. Good lord! This is a retarded thread. This biker was not to brite for passing in a hov lane. Thats putting other people at risk. Who cares about the freakin gear. I get so tired of people getting such a hard time about it. Your not breaking the law by not wearing gear and your only hurting yourself by not wearing gear. Don't worry about people not wearring gear. It's not your problem!

I so disagree speeding takes skill to do it successfully weather your rounding a bend or shooting straight. There are many thing to focus on at once. Any fool can twist the throttle but it takes skill to controll the bike
