Dont u hate when....

You are at a red light and thing wont turn green because the sensors wont detect you ? Or is it because I have a 250?

I usually have to wait for a car to pull behind or next to me for it to turn green

There is a new state law in effect Sept 1, '07 that all traffic signals have to recognize motorcycles.
I don't think it will make any diff except maybe a lawyer could use it as a defense.

Still a ticket. They don't care how long you sit. If it doesn't change, make three rights instead of a left (or a right and a u-turn, etc.)

You are right... I got a ticket like that once.

However I went to court and explained to the judge it was 2:30 in the morning, there were no cars in sight and since I lived down the street I knew the light would'nt respond. He cut the fine in half, but still it sucked.

Kat never had a problem, lowered with steel frame.

Busa; no chance in to trigger a light in the woodlands... no tickets yet though...

Sometimes if you lower the kickstand right on the crack where the sensor is, it will trigger.

It's even worse when you're late for work and the apartment exit gate won't open for you.

happen to me a few times... i usually run it, cause its so late at night there is noone around anyway

but what i hate the most is when the car behind you is scared to pull up behind you enough to trigger the light for you and you sit through a cycle all off turn around and wave for them to come closer and they look at you like WTF? ME?

If the light doesn't turn green put your kick stand down, it usually picks it up.

We have a guy who works doing the roads come to POs bike nights and we just talked about this law on Tuesday. I think he works for Harris Co, not TxDOT but he said it is not going to happen because it is not feasible. The sensors would have to be set to sensitive that it may cause them to pick up cars in the next lane or whatnot.

He said sensors suck and cameras are even worse, which they want to get back to. I'd try finding out where the light is and contacting either Harris County or TxDOT just for the heck of it. If they get enough complaints, maybe they'll do something.

I mounted a Signal Sorcerer on my center stand. I was having the same issue and that solved my problem, I was having to run the red before. It cost about 20 bucks but if I miss one ticket I think it payed for itself.
