I'm with there. But once you get used to it, it's really a great improvement.

You can now reload each side individually, so you don't have to stop shooting to reload.

my favorite duel weld is either 2 spikers or 1 spiker and 1 mauler (that mauler is a one shot killer up in there face!)

One question, with the energy sword isnt that supposed to be a one hitter quitter thing? I was beatin the **** out of a dude on campaign mode last night and he would just get bolts flowing around him then come bust me with the hammer

The guys holdin the Hammers are Harder to kill, they have more armor. Shoot from far away and as the armor get thinner and thinner you can move in for the final glow with the sword.

I haven't had a chance to come across the hammer, and the blinding thing hasn't happened yet, but i did waste a bunch of shields. I did find once i got used to it, it was a lot easier than in halo 2, but i still slip up and waste sheilds occassionally.

besides the sheild and flare there is one item i picked up, but i dont know what its called that i think is a bad@ss tool ... when released, it makes everyones radar go crazy with dozens of red enemy dots running around the map, so they dont know where the heck you are ... and you can sneak up on them without having to squat your way to them! BIG FOR THAT TOOL!

Honestly, im not too impressed with the sheild ... i never use it ... but i love when someone else does, cause they sit in their little bubble, and i walk half way in drop a grenade, and step right out ... and BOOM -- THEY DEAD!!!

haven't had the opportunity to do the grenade in the bubble yet. But I do like dual weilding the spike guns. The turret is cool also.

I'm a huge halo fan but I gotta say I was disap. at Halo3. Has better graphics and story is awsome but i dont see it being any different then halo2. when i get done with the game i'll give my full opinion.

why would they change it up when the first two were similar? only difference is that the fight is here on earth.

Actually 1 and 2 were a LOT different. First of, 1 had no online game play. The multiplayer consisted of getting 4 tvs and 4 xboxes under the same roof (or neighbors if you had enough cable). One also didn't have dual wielding which is a big difference. One didn't have locking rockets, the pistol could kill you from as far as you could see the guy in just a few shots. etc. etc. When they went to Halo 2, a lot of things changed. I can see where the complaint is. Halo 3 is like just getting a new set of maps, some more weapons and a little crisper graphics. While that is great for most die hard halo guys, the ones that aren't die hard, it might not have been worth the hype. I like the new one, and will give it plenty of hours.

thats the thing, it was hyped up to be different then the other two editions. I was expecting a new style of play. I'll give them that it isnt solo like the older ones.
