New Rider needs help

What's up y'all, I'm fairly new to this whole motorcycle thing... I just bought my bike a couple of days ago and for some reason i can't shift to 3rd gear (all the other gears are fine). What does it mean? And roughly how much would it cost to fix? Thank, all your help is appreciated.

if it is just not going into gear that could be major work. shift fork, drum etc. may have to split the cases.

dealership will probably sell you something you don't need.

Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited has ALWAYS been honest about what you need done. and will not rape you or your wallet.

I take all my bikes to Patrick's shop, always GREAT work @ very great prices. I've taken my bikes to stealerships in the past.....and always ended up leaving and working on them myself due to them selling me chit i don't need.....i'm no bike mechanic....but i know a thing or two about em, and i know when someone is selling me something that won't fix the problem. just my opinion on dealerships though.
