Sorry chris didn't know it was you. I can't believe people just can't discuss things in a civil manner.

As far as the backwards. I guess I was just looking forward to trying the new changes ccw. I think it would be cool to go 1/2 day regula and one 1/2 unregularl.

Everyone should just take what is given and make the best out of it rather cry about how hard it will be going CW or CCW or turn 17 is dangerous, bla, bla, bla. You all are spoiled.

I noticed the are only a few (5) that were against the cw and 9 would like to try something new and 9 rides anything.

backwards

before the poll disappeared all I had to add to it was that there are more track days in this area than the vast majority of us can afford.

In addition, I think there is a waiting list for this track day.

If you don't want to run it the other direction, no problem, do a different track day.

I like the idea. MSRH is a convenient track for me and I like the size of Buck's track days, not so crowded. Now I get to have some variety without having to drive further.

what difference does it make, the track was not designed for motorcycles anyways. Imagine if the frist time you went the track was CW then you would be use to that and would not like to run CCW. Its all what your use to.

Hope you are right - I would rather do the new (CW) first, then the regular last.

It's not too late to cancel your spot if you don't want to run CW. I'm here at the track today with Alan and Derek for some pretesting CW, I'll post up this evening with the results. We will run the full day CW so get used to the idea or give your spot to someone on the wait list.........

Didin't get to run CW today as the track wasn't ready for it and there was some work being done in the run off areas. All will still be dependant on the track being ready on 10/13, need some curbing end caps and a few other things to make it safe. This is being done as a test for the folks at CMRA who feel it would be safer to race CW, so we are doing the test for them. That's the story behind it all. Personally I still believe the way to race MSRH is to air fence T17 and let it roll, but what do I know, I've only done a few thousand laps there. I also personally don't think the CMRA will ever run MSRH due to the politics within the club. CCS is signed on for a date in Febuary and again in April, with no changes or objetions to the track as it is. How can a club run Oak Hill and call that safe, then balk at MSRH is beyond me. Of all the days and riders we have put through MSRH, it has a VERY LOW inccident rate vs. any other track in Tx or OK. even Todd's T17 crash was minor in the grand scheme of racing. There is no such thing as a totally safe track, they all have something to consider, be it run off, barriers, etc. Until they start designing tracks specifically for bikes (fat chance) that is the way it will be.
I've had one cancellation so far, so you guys on the wait list should hear something by mid week reguarding you getting on the track. I am personally looking forward to running it CW for a change. It's easy to fall into a comfort zone on the CCW configuration that we are all used to, so the challenge of the new direction should be a blast and level out the feild for everyone. Sorry for those that don't agree, but there is always next time. If you are going to cancel, remember the cut off date for no penalty is Friday Oct 5 at midnight.

i agree.

i'm sure everyone will have fun either direction. good thing is.....almost everybody will be at the same level running the opposite direction. it's all about who learns the line and brake/shift points quickest now
