Ahmadinejad @ Columbia University

http://edition.cnn.com/2007/US/09/24/us.iran/index.html

Exactly why is it that this person was let into our country and not arrested?

Diplomatic immunity...? lol

Though I think he's a shady S.O.B., we have no concrete evidence against him other than his verbal statements against Israel (and even then what are they other than just that, statements) and the fact that he possibly had a part in the Iranian hostage situation. Don't think we have much tangible evidence against him though...:/:

lol , the result wasn't exactly amiable, we'd have a lot more help if the evidence for invading said country was more, say substantial...

Not necessarily.

I do have a problem with the west (or specifically us) invading sovereign nations because they don't believe the way we do.

Never been a fan of "conform or be destroyed:. Didn't like it from a catholic/religious point of view, and I don't like it as our policy.

You can replace the government, but that doesn't necessarily change the culture.

There's got to be a better way.

talk about head on the nail.

I think columbia university did a great thing for their students. we should all be able to learn and observe even the tirants of the world so that way we are educated in the way they act, think, and plan moves. if you really want to stop leaders like this that would be the way to do it. you can't change a person but you can prevent some pple from becoming tirants by education. this is one way of taking proactive steps. it might take time, but what doesn't? Im glad we are free in this country to learn multiple pov's, even though there is a stink about it, if one person learns then you never know they might write a book on political ideas, this could start a movement many years down the road and who knows what good could come from this.

I don't think that we should make everyone comform just cause we think its the right way, their way is right for them. our gov. needs to learn to wise up to the world. we think we are high and mighty, but we are really excluding ourselfs from the rest of the world. Every country hates us and I don't blame them, our actions suck.

So let me get this straight....

Hitler shows up @ Columbia University and you are going to let him talk about his plans to take over the world through genecide and this would be good because it will prevent others from becoming dictators?

And I thought I was the hippy around here but, I say his crimes agaist the U.S. Marines alone would be enough reason to convict this piece of .

The commentator made a fool out of him. I don't think that Ahmadinejad's speech helped him at all. If a foreign diplomat is going to speak in another country, who's culture is totally different from their own, they might want to watch what they say.

The guy hardly said anything intelligent from what I have read. Plus he has no idea how to dress himself.

We all know NOW what Hitler did. Let's face it, there are a lot of chit-talkers in the world and even here at home. It's bad enough that we have become the world police, do we really need to expand that to becoming the worlds 'thought police'?

If there is evidence (and not the suspected WMD kind, lol), then yes, he should be put on trial.
